ABOUT ME
the journey continue...

For me, photography has been a love affair for the last 40 years or so.

The love I had to give to this great hobby/profession wasn't as strong as I wanted to be trapped within the daily problems, duties, and distractions of our adult life.

In the course of the last decades, photography was, and is, not a hobby, but often a profession, sometimes part-time and full-time.

Making a living and supporting a demanding family only with photography is a risky business, mainly for the well-being and security of people who depend on you, so I had to make choices.

In the past, I worked as a photographer in various fields of the profession. Advertising, products, fashion, publishing, weddings, and so on; I worked for world-renowned companies and for small firms and individuals as well, always with the delight to deliver the best of myself.

The media used were the most different: large format film cameras, medium format, 35mm, digital, and I pride myself on mastering all those media at the highest standards, and at the top of technical knowledge.

Yes, here I am, again.

Where I am today

Today I have fewer obligations when it comes to family and other people, and I have a job that often leaves me a good chunk of spare time, so I'm back into photography again. You never forget your first love.

My goal today isn't to go into commercial photography, or wedding photography, or anything like that, but to dedicate myself to the artistic side of photography with the help of the media I love most: large format B&W for landscapes and architecture, and digital or film for portraiture, boudoir, and glamour for my enjoyment and the enjoyment of everyone that cares to look at my work.

Another path that I'm going to explore, and I'm confident I'll excel in, is teaching real photography to all those, old and young, who want to free themselves from the low-quality, instant gratification snapping, but to enjoy an art that rewards ideas, skills, technical knowledge, and talent.

Join me in this journey, and I'll do my best not to disappoint you.
